The group have been campaigning for segregated cycle paths for three years but with little success.
Aodhán King and his son Matty cycle to school as part of the "D12 Bike Bus".
He says says while local authorities have done little to make his son's route safer.
"We've gotten great engagement but we've yet to see the changes that are necessary."
"We're finishing the school year at the end of June and we're really concerned that we're going into a third year without a change on our roads."
Aodhán started the Bike Bus with the vision of having one adult leading a convoy of three or four children safely to school.
But he says - because of the road design - a number of adult volunteers are needed, to guide just a small group of children to school.
