Homeowners at an apartment block in Carrickmines are trying to stop the sale of homes to their local authority.
They want structural defects to be fixed by the receiver first but a major row has erupted.
Carrickmines Green is a former ghost estate on the southside with fire safety and structural defects in some of the homes.
Despite that Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has agreed to buy ten apartments for social housing.
A spokesperson's told the Irish Times even though repair works will needed, it's still value for money.
However the management company's refused to sign off on the sales until the receiver has fixed issues related to damp, flooding and fire proofing.
The accountancy firm, which says it's been engaging extensively with everyone involved, is taking legal action to force through the sale.
