One of the most violent serial sex offenders in the country has been released from his third stint in prison.
It's understood Robert Melia, who has a week to confirm a new address with Gardai, stayed in a Dublin hostel last night.
He has served three prison sentences for a string of violent sexual assaults, dating back decades.
He has re-offended each time he's been let out of jail.
Debbie Cole, who was raped by Melia thirty years ago, believes this time will be no different.
"He's proven over and over again that he is going to re-offend.
As soon as he is released he re-offends and somebody is attacked".
Debbie campaigned to get the law changed, in the hope serial sex offenders would spend longer behind bars.
She doesn't believe Melia should have been released from prison this week.
Debbie has also questioned "why we don't have electronic tagging?"
She fears, following her campaign to change the law, Melia could target her again.
"I've been speaking to the local Crime Prevention Officer, and I went and bought a personal alarm and all that kind of stuff so I feel a bit safer", she said.
Debbie doesn't know what Melia looks like now, as there are no known recent photos of him.
