The Women’s Mini Marathon will take place in Dublin City centre today.
The race will start at 2pm at Baggot St Lwr and will travel along Pembroke Rd, Merrion Rd, Nutley Lane, up and over the UCD Flyover, onto N11/Donnybrook Rd inbound, Morehampton Rd, Leeson St and finishing up at Fitzwilliam St Upr.
To accommodate this event there will be a number of road closures, these include:
Fitzwilliam Place, Fitzwilliam St Upper and Baggot St Lower are closed until 6pm.
Fitzwilliam St Lwr, Pembroke St Upr and Lwr, Merrion Square East, South & West and Merrion St Upr will close from 8am until 6pm.
Hume St and Ely Place will close from 10:30am until 6pm.
Lower Leeson St will close from midday until 5:30pm.
Baggot St Bridge and Baggot St Up will close from 1:30pm until 3:30pm.
Leeson St Bridge and Adelaide Rd will close from 2:30pm until 5:30pm.
Nutley Lane will close from 1:30pm until 4:30pm and Pembroke Rd will close from 1:30pm until 6pm.
The Stillorgan Rd will close from Foster Ave to Belfield Bridge from 1:30pm until 4:30pm.
Diversions will be in place as follows:
Inbound traffic on Rock Rd will be diverted via Strand Rd, Beach Rd, Bath St, Irishtown Rd, Bridge St, Ringsend Rd, Pearse St and Tara St.
Inbound traffic on Stillorgan Rd will divert via Foster Avenue, Roebuck Rd, Clonskeagh Rd, Sandford Rd, Ranelagh Rd, Charlemont St, Harcourt Rd, Camden St, Camden St Lower, Wexford St, Aungier St, South Great George’s St, Dame St, Lord Edward St, Christchurch Place, Winetavern St to the quays.
Outbound traffic on College Green wishing to travel south on Stillorgan Rd will be diverted via Dame St. South Great George’s St, Aungier St, Wexford St, Camden St, Charlotte Way, Harcourt St, Harcourt Rd, Charlemont St, Ranelagh Rd, Sandford Rd, Clonskeagh Rd, Roebuck Rd and Fosters Avenue.
Outbound traffic on Townsend St wishing to travel south via Merrion Square will be diverted via Pearse St, Ringsend Rd, Bridge St, Irishtown Rd, Pembroke St, Beach Rd, Strand Rd to Rock Rd.
