The Irish League of Credit Unions says family finances are recovering with a rise in the number of adults who have between 50 and 100 euro left after paying bills.
The ICLU's "What's Left" tracker says the figure has jumped by 32 thousand since last December.
It shows around 10 percent of the population have between 100 and 150 euros once all essential bills are paid.
Four hundred and 70 thousand people have nothing left at the end of the month which is a drop of over 10 thousand.
ICLU Chief Executive Kieron Brennan says it's a sign families are getting smarter with their money.
