A livestreamed 'Stay Day' parade in Dublin has gone down a treat with locals.
Irishtown and Ringsend Community Centre usually organises a gathering on May Day but this isn't possible today.
Instead, their three hour livestream on Facebook included comedians, singers and other performers from around the area.
Speaking of the event, RICC Manager Lorraine Barry said, "Our annual May Day Parade has been the biggest annual community event for the last 11 years, drawing a crowd of over 1,200 people each year. Obviously this year we had to get imaginative, so the team got together and came up with an online event. The ‘Stay Day’ theme urged people to stay safe at home, whilst connecting with loved ones online and enjoying some entertainment."
Lorraine says they got the perfect day for it too:
"They came in and all performed - it went really really well and the community really enjoyed it. It was lots of fun. It's great that the weather was so nice today as well!"
