Revolut has announced plans to create more than thirty jobs in Dublin this year.
The banking app wants to base its Western Europe activities in the capital, once it gets permission from the Central Bank.
The company says Ireland's highly educated and diverse workforce is one of the main reasons it wants to set up a regional hub here.
Richard Davies, CEO of Banking at Revolut, hopes Dublin will "take on our Western Europe activities subject to authorisation from the CBI".
"Ireland was selected as a regional hub due to our large customer-base in the country, and access to a highly educated and diverse pool of talent.”
Revolut, whichalready employs 12 people in Ireland, plans to grow its Irish team to 40-50 in 2020.
The banking app says it has more than half a million customers signed up in Ireland.
