A review of ambulance services in Dublin is to be carried out.
The emergency ambulance service in the capital is operated by the Fire Brigade under the city council.
Now according to the HSE and Dublin City Council, a strategic review of services is to be carried out.
It comes as figures supplied to the Oireachtas health committee show that targets set for emergency response times were missed last year.
Its thought that patient care and value for money are key factors in the study.
Both bodies say the review will be completed by the end of May.
