Residents are expressing alarm at An Bord Pleanála's decision to approve a huge development proposed by developers for O'Devaney Gardens in Dublin.
It would be located at St Bricin's Military Hospital lands in Stoneybatter.
They say the massive scale and height of the 1,047 units, including five blocks up to 14 floors, will overshadow and crowd out existing housing and services.
They claim it'll also produce cramped accommodation and create rat-runs and parking havoc, with only 276 spaces to be provided.
It would also see 56 new council homes being developed by Dublin City Council, where there were previously 278 flats.
Local residents have formed the Stoneybatter-O'Devaney Action Group to see if they can challenge the An Bord Pleanála decision.
