Gardaí in Blanchardstown have issued a renewed appeal, particularly to taxi-drivers, as they look for information on the death of a man over the weekend.
At approximately 2.50 am on Saturday morning, Gardaí received reports of a man with unexplained injuries on the Old Navan Road in Mulhuddart.
Aged in his early 60s, he was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anybody who was in the vicinity of Blanchardstown Road North, the Old Navan Road and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and surrounding areas between 12 am and 3 am on Saturday morning, and who may have seen any activity which drew their attention, to come forward.
A post-mortem was carried out on the man's body, however, the results are not being released for operational reasons.
Any road users or pedestrians who were travelling in the areas at the time and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
