The Education Minister will address primary school teachers this morning – at a time when their union says they’re more demoralised and disheartened than ever before.
Ruairi Quinn is attending two of the three national conferences being held by teachers today.
He will address the Irish National TeachersÂ’ Organisation later, before going to the secondary teachersÂ’ union the ASTI this afternoon.
The TUI meanwhile are also meeting in Kilkenny.
Last evening, the President of the INTO said successive cuts, as well as constant criticism, were destroying morale among teachers.
