The pursuit happened shortly before 10pm on Saturday night.
Three men remain in custody after a pursuit in the Dublin 8 area.
The men, aged in their 30s, were also in the possession of a gun which was seized.
Gardaí spotted the men driving in a suspected stolen Mini Cooper on Davitt Road in Drimnagh.
The driver failed to stop for the patrol car which led to a chase through the Rialto area.
The car was abandoned at Longs Place and a plastic bag was recovered containing a gun.
