Gardaí have seized a puppy that was being 'traded for drugs' in the city centre.
An animal charity rushed to the rescue on Monday night and picked up the 3-week old pup from Kevin Street Garda station.
TINY PUPPY EXCHANGED FOR DRUGS 💔💔💔💔🤬🤬🤬🤬
We had a call at 1am this morning about this poor little baby girl, she can only be about 4 weeks old 💔
Thankfully @gardainfo
An Garda Síochána Kevin Street Dublin saw her and seized her straight away.

Martina Kenny from 'My Lovely Horse Rescue' has thanked Gardaí for stepping in when they did. She says they have since named the dog Annabelle.
"A few years ago we came across these kids who had exchanged a horse for a mobile phone and I thought ok that's the last I'm going to hear of that hopefully."
She says we've become a society with no empathy "animals are used and abused every single day now."
