Staff at a Loughlinstown pub are being hailed as heroes - after rushing to help customers during an apparent fire-bomb attack.
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, a petrol bomb was thrown inside the Lough Inn, causing damage to the interior of the property.
The suspected offender immediately fled the scene.
There were several patrons in the pub at the time, including a hen party
Footage has emerged on social media of staff rushing towards the flames with a fire-extinguisher while customers shouted for help.
Gardai have confirmed they're investigating a fire and criminal damage - but as yet there have been no arrests.
They're appealing to anyone who was on Loughlinstown Drive and surrounding areas at the time, who noticed any unusual activity.
Similarly, any road users who were in the area at this time and who may have camera (including dash cam) footage, are asked to make this available to Gardaí.
