Residents living on Richmond Road are holding a peaceful protest this morning against drivers who mount the footpath.
They're voicing their concerns for the narrow road which they say has become a rat run and is an accident waiting to happen.
They also say there is parking chaos when matches are played in Tolka Park or Croke Park.
They are calling for something to be done and the immediate introduction of a parking permit scheme.
The protest was organised by the Richmond Road and Grace Park Residents Association.
Families on Richmond Road really struggling with safety due to people driving (at speed) regularly on the footpath. @DubCityCouncil need to act, maybe a one way system? (Childvision in the area with small kids learning white cane mobility too!) pic.twitter.com/T7YYxUqEHg

Local councillor Donna Cooney is at the protest this morning. She said ''It's a very dangerous road and people here are saying ''I am not a speed bump.'' They have to walk on these paths which take them to work and school. Cars are parked and driving on these paths and going up onto the pavement to get past and means it's not a safe place to be.
She added: ''There is no safe place on this road. It's not designed for the traffic that's on it and nothing is being done.''
