The Finance Minister has officially ruled out the prospect of allowing bonuses at AIB.
Bonuses for top executives have been banned for several years, as part of the state's pay cap for senior bankers.
Last month senior managers held preliminary talks with the Department of Finance over the possibility of allowing bonuses to be paid once more.
However in response to written Dáil questions from Fianna Fáil, minister Michael Noonan has officially ruled out any change in government policy.
