A park in Dublin is to be named after Stephen Gately.
The motion was put forward at a Central Area Committee meeting today to have the Royal Canal Linear Park dedicated to the late singer.
The motion has been passed.
The Boyzone star died suddenly in 2009.
His band mate Ronan Keating has voiced his support for the move.
