British sandwich shop, Pret A Manger, officially opens its doors in Dublin this morning.
It's the first of twenty Pret outlets planned for across Ireland over the next decade, creating approximately 500 jobs.
25 jobs have been created at the shop on Dawson Street.
Guy Meakin is Interim UK and Ireland Managing Director of Pret A Manger;
"Opening our first shop in the Republic of Ireland on one of Dublin’s most historic streets is an exciting moment for us. For years we’ve had fans in Ireland hoping for a Pret in their home country so we’re delighted we can finally make that happen."
In partnership with the Pret Foundation, the new shop’s surplus food will be donated to Depaul Ireland at the end of each day.
The opening comes after Lego opened it's first Irish Store on Grafton Street in recent weeks, while Krispy Kreme brought its doughnut shop to the city centre and Dame Street.
