Plans for a new urban town in Dublin city have been revealed.
Located on the northside, Baile Bogáin or Ballyboggan, would see the redevelopment of 77 hectares of industrial land between Glasnevin, Cabra and Finglas.
The Royal Canal and Luas Green Line run through the brownfield site.
The draft masterplan from the city council aims to deliver a mix of housing for all life stages, education and health facilities and cultural spaces.
As part of the project, the local authority wants to promote and support development that is resilient to climate change, including measures such as green roofs and walls.
There are also plans for a linear park along the Royal Canal, plazas and meeting spaces and new connections to Tolka Valley Park.
