A landmark Dublin pizza restaurant has closed after over three decades in business. Pizza Stop on Chatham Lane has been forced to shut due to issues with its lease.
Owner Grace Terrinoni told The Irish Times that the landlord refused to renew the lease ahead of a major redevelopment of the area.
The Italian restaurant closed its doors for the last time on Sunday night.
The Terrinoni family took to Facebook to express their sadness at the news.
They thanked customers, staff and suppliers for their support over the past 30 years, saying they have "loved every minute".
"We want to acknowledge everyone who has crossed our doorway and who has enriched our lives. We have loved being part of of your lives and we look forward to our next chapter.
"We want to say a huge word of thanks to all our customers, our staff, all our suppliers and our wonderful friends over the last 30 years.
"Thank you. We will see you all again soon. Arriverdverci. The Terrinoni Family."
Grace's late husband Germano Terrinoni set up Pizza Stop in the late 1980s.
Grace told The Irish Times that she is looking for a new premises however, she says landlords have been looking for "crazy money".
