Dublin Airport is warning passengers to expect delays throughout the day.
It comes as an ESB power outage in the north of the city this morning caused long queues in Terminal 2 and delays to 15 flights.
Dublin Airport Authority is investigating the power outage, and how their back up systems didn't prevent the fault.
Media Relations Manager at the DAA, Graeme McQueen issues this apology to any passengers affected by the disruption:
"There was an ESB outage in the North county Dublin area. For some reason our back-up power generation systems didn't kick in. Normally they would in these instances, so a full investigation is going on into why that happened.
DAA obviously apologises to all passengers who were impacted by this morning's disruption and the team are working very hard this afternoon to make sure everybody gets away on their flights."
