More than €90,000 in excess toll charges have been collected at Dublin Port Tunnel over the last three years.
Motorists overpaid with coins by almost €45,000 euro at unmanned toll both lanes in 2019 according to the Irish Daily Star.
The figure was €19,500 in 2020.
Last year €19,000 was taken in, while €7,600 in additional loose change was collected between January and the end of March this year.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland says the extra money is used for tunnel maintenance and other works.
