Drugs worth over €700,000 euro have been seized in Dublin.
Revenue officers found 36 kilos of cannabis herb and 6 kilos of cannabis resin at Dublin Port yesterday during routine operations.
They were discovered concealed within a furniture consignment that had arrived from Spain.
As part of a separate operation and with the assistance of detector dog Robbie, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin seized 6 kilos of cannabis herb.
The drugs seized in both operations have a combined estimated value of €716,000.
Revenue says the seizures are part of ongoing operations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
