City Councillors will vote on plans to build over 850 homes at Oscar Traynor road in Coolock tonight.
Councillors have expressed concern about the fact that half of the units will be privately sold, and the affordable ones could cost over €300,000.
Sinn Fein, the Greens and Labour have said publicly that they'll vote against this.
Sinn Fein housing spokesman and TD Eoin O'Broin has labelled the plans 'crazy'.
Labour's Alison Gilliland also believes it's a bad deal for the council.
Fianna Fail meanwhile is calling for the decision to be deferred, Councillor Tom Brabazon says more talks are needed with the local residents.
The vote takes place at the monthly council meeting, which starts at 6.15pm this evening.
