A report by Coimisiún na Meán has also revealed over a quarter of 18-24 years are olds are paying for their news.

The Digital News Report also shows 88% of Irish consumers are extremely, very, or somewhat interested in what's happening in the world.
The study also indicates a growing interest in online content, while an additional 71% expressed concern about distinguishing real news from fake news, marking a 7% increase from the previous year.
