A man in his 40s has died in a two-car crash in Dublin overnight.
It happened at around 12.20am on the N7 outbound at Kingswood.
The driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Dublin City Morgue.
While a man in his 30s was taken to Tallaght Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another man in his late 20s was also hospitalised. However his life is not believed to be in danger.
A man in his 40s was treated at the scene but didn't need to go to hospital.
The road was closed for Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out an examination but has since reopened.
The crash has been referred to the Garda Ombudsman, GSOC, as one of the vehicles came to the attention of Gardaí before the collision.
