Two men have been hit by a train in Meath overnight, killing one of them.
It happened around a kilometre north of Gormanston station shortly before 9.30pm last night and involved the 8.50pm Dublin to Belfast service.
A man in his 20s received treatment but was later pronounced dead. His body has since been removed from the scene and taken to Navan mortuary.
While a second man received treatment at the scene but was not seriously injured.

The line was closed for a time but has since reopened.
