Nurses are marching in Dublin City this afternoon in a national rally to protest for better pay and conditions.
Discussions between nursing Unions and Government officials will resume this afternoon, following nine hours of talks yesterday at the Labour Court.
Further strike action is planned for next week, with nurses and midwives mounting pickets across the country on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Marchers set off from the Garden of Remembrance at about 12.45, and marched to Merrion Square via Pearse Street.
The demonstration has caused some disruption to public transport in the city centre.
Dublin Bus has diverted almost 30 routes that use the College Green bus gate between 1pm and 4pm -- and Luas services on the Red and Green lines ran with delays of about 15 minutes.
