The number of homes in the proposed redevelopment of O'Devaney Gardens in Dublin has increased by over 300 from the original plan.
Councillors were briefed this afternoon by Dublin City Council and the developer on the proposal which now includes over 1,100 houses.
The development is a mix of social housing, affordable housing, and private homes.
Cllr Ray McAdam says it's now expected to include 335 council homes and 222 affordable homes: "The draft planning application that they're working on at the moment would see 1,110 homes developed and built.
"This is a significant increase of almost 300 homes from the draft development plan.
"This is welcome but I must stress that we are still five to six months away from a formal planning application being lodged with An Bord Pleanala."
