These included Leeson Street, Ballsbridge, Stillorgan, Blackrock, Donnybrook, Merrion, Booterstown, Clonskeagh, Ranelagh, Rathmines, Terenure, Rathfarnham and Windy Arbour.

To reduce the impact of the disruption crews were able to reconfigure the network to some areas and worked through the night and today to repair the burst and restore water.
Irish Water is warning some may experience temporary water discolouration or internal airlocks following the outage.
