There will be no Slane concert this year. Fans had been hoping that AC/DC would headline the Castle this summer but Lord Henry Mountcharles has confirmed that there will be no gig taking place in 2016.
A statement was released on Twitter: "Lord Henry confirmed today that there will be no show at Slane this year. Slane will return in 2017 when the Slane Distillery is completed."
Lord Henry added: "There also wasn’t an act this year that really grabbed my attention. When work on the distillery is complete next year, it will make it much simpler. So we have decided to focus on 2017."
