You're chatting away on WhatsApp, and one grey tick turns to two grey ticks... but there's no reply.
"Are they ignoring me?" "Does he not fancy me?" "B****rd!"
For a long time, many people have wrongly believed that two grey ticks meant the person you were texting had read your message.
WhatsApp has clarified what it actually means in a statement on its website.
Two grey ticks means the person's phone has received the message, and not that the person has actually read the message.
Today WhatsApp has introduced a feature which will tell you when your message has been read.
Two grey ticks will turn to two blue ticks once the message has been seen - even if the user has the Last Seen feature switched off.
Now you really know when you're being ignored!
