A new survey of over 2,000 people has been conducted to study stress and how we handle it.
Nine in ten people in Ireland said they felt stress every day! They said this stress lasted for an average of 41 minutes.
The most common triggers of stress are things breaking down/not working, work issues and money problems.
At the start of the month, a separate study ranked Ireland as the 6th most stressful country in Europe to live in. We scored an overall stress score of 49.2 out of 100, due to the higher rate of depression and anxiety reported in the country.
However, never fear! We at 98fm have the best stress-busting activities for you.
The survey listed these as their top five:
- Going for a walk
- Listening to your favourite tunes
- Watching TV
- Going for some quiet time (this could be some meditating... maybe even a nap)
- Reading
Some of our favourites ways of casting off the bad vibes, listed by the survey include:
- Cleaning your house (declutter your house and the head!)
- Screaming into a pillow - that's just a classic.
