The Housing Minister's putting a new team together to try and end long-term homelessness.
It'll have to help people move out of shelters, and identify properties suitable for those sleeping rough.
The group will also provide short-term accommodation, and close expensive private emergency accommodation.
Confirmation of the new team comes as new figures show there's been a rise in the number of newly homeless people in Dublin.
The Dublin Region Homeless Executive says the numbers seeking help for the first time jumped by 40 percent.
Charities have blamed rising rents and a lack of landlords accepting rent allowance.
