New Poll Puts Gilmore as Most Unpopular Leader in the Country

A new opinion poll shows a fall in support for Fianna Fáil, while support for the coalition parties remains steady.

The Millward Brown poll for the Sunday Independent also shows almost three in four voters are unhappy with Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore.

The poll conducted between November 3rd and 13th - and before the coalition's bailout exit decision, shows Fine Gael remaining unchanged on 27%.

Labour too remains unchanged on 9%.

Fianna Fáil lose out, down three points to 24%, with Sinn féin picking up two points to 21 and others up 1 to 18.

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore's the most unpopular leader in the country according to the poll, with 73% unhappy with his performance.

And dissatisfaction with the coalition continues to increase, up one to 74%.

Voters also seem to favour a new political party, with 46% advocating it, up six since the question was last asked in August.
