An Bord Pleanala has approved plans for a new greenway in north Dublin.
The cycling and walking track will link Malahide and Donabate, crossing the Broadmeadow Estuary.
While there are future plans to connect the greenway with Rush, Skerries and Balbriggan.
Fine Gael TD for Dublin Fingal, Alan Farrell, has welcomed the decision from An Bord Pleanala.
"This is great news for everyone in Fingal and will see a major step forward in the development of our coastal greenway."
He went on to say; "Increasing our local amenities is vital to promoting Fingal both domestically and internationally, creating greenways such as this will help us showcase what we have to offer."
Deputy Farrell said the focus now needs to be on delivering the project without unnecessary delays.
