A brand new Cystic Fibrosis paediatric outpatient unit will open in Drogheda this morning.
The new centre which cost 670,000 euro was built through funding from charitable donations and a grant from the national lottery.
Fit out costs, staffing and running costs will be provided by Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital and the HSE.
Philip Watts, CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland says the new centre will provide much needed specific care.
