More people will now the able to apply for the government's cost rental scheme.
The income thresholds have been increased for households earning a net €66,000 a year in Dublin, and €59,000 for the rest of the country.
Previously, the nationwide limit was €53,000.
It's hoped to ease the pressure off of Dubliners paying higher rents than elsewhere in Ireland.
Meanwhile, the homeless charity Focus Ireland says the government now needs to look at increasing the limits for HAP payments.
