A dedicated armed garda unit set up to tackle the Hutch Kinahan feud will begin work next week.
Fifty five specially trained detectives will keep watch on a 24 hour basis, with another 15 reserves on standby.
Around 700 officers applied to part of the elite squad, 70 told this week they'd been accepted for the unit.
All of the members underwent a series of rigorous physical tests as well as interviews by detective inspectors and detective superintendents.
Of the 70 selected, 20 were chosen from a district that includes Blanchardstown, Finglas and Cabra garda stations.
The squad will be under the control of the Special Detective Unit and will be based at Harcourt Square.
