Lawyers for the state have described the murder of a father of five in Tyrellstown as a "Goodfellas style execution".
Michael Kinsella of Swiftbrook Close, Tallaght is accused of stabbing Adel Essalhi to death over three years ago.
Adel Essalhi's scorched body was found in a ditch behind the Tyrellstown Plaza several days after he was reported missing in January 2011.
It is the prosecution's case that he was killed by Wayne Kinsella, who is already serving life for his murder, and his nephew Michael who is on trial.
During six days of evidence, the jury heard how Adel had been drinking with the Kinsellas and others at an apartment at the Plaza.
It's alleged Michael got a phone call telling him Mr. Essalhi was involved in the murder of his uncle Lee.
Lawyers for the state believe Michael and Wayne lured him out to some fields and stabbed him up to 60 times in what was described today as a "Goodfellas style execution".
It is further alleged that the two men returned the following day with some petrol to dispose of the body.
The jurors have begun hearing closing arguments. Once they're addressed by Mr. Justice Paul Carney, they'll then be sent out to consider a verdict.
