The Oireachtas Health Committee is meeting today to discuss the future of Mount Carmel Hospital following its closure last month.
The private hospital, which specialised in maternity services and non-emergency elective surgery, closed its doors on Friday the 31st January with debts of approximately 39 million euro.
It resulted in the loss of over 300 jobs.
Earlier this month there were reports that Irish group, RAS medical, the group that owns Park West Clinic, Auralia Cosmetic Services and Limerick Laser Centre, made an approach to buy the facility.
