More than thirty motorbikes, electric scooters and e-bikes have been seized in Dublin.

It follows a day of action by Gardaí from the Dublin Metropolitan Region North Central Division yesterday.

Twenty four properties were searched as part of a crackdown on criminal activity.

A motorbike believed to have been stolen in October, six high powered electric motorbikes valued at up €10,000 each, six e-bikes and twenty electric scooters were seized.

The raids were carried out as part of Operation Meacán which targets the use of different types of vehicles by criminals to distribute drugs, launder money, transport guns and to carry out drug related intimidation.

Nineteen shotgun cartridges, over €3,000 in cash, and designer goods valued at €9,000 were also seized.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made so far and investigations are ongoing.
