It comes less than 48 hours after Storm Éowyn brought record breaking gusts.
Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly says people should make every effort to assess any damage from yesterday, before the weather changes again tonight;
"Today really will be the better day. If people have clean-up operations in their own back garden, that they can safely do, then do them today.
"We have some very wet and windy weather coming tonight, tomorrow and Monday, unfortunately."
Meanwhile,
Almost half a million homes and businesses remain without power this morning - 5,000 of which are in Dublin.
Clontarf, Portmarnock and Dún Laoghaire are among the worst-affected parts of the capital.
The high volume of outages means restoration times are not being given, but you can check for updates on powercheck.ie.
Homes and businesses have been left with no water in some parts of Dublin too.
Wet and breezy weather has arrived in the West and will move across the country even though we have some lovely sunshine in the East at the moment. pic.twitter.com/lSDgXI1RzA

The new Taoiseach and Tánaiste say the government is working to assist.
Simon Harris says the Defence Forces are on-hand to help;
"I'm very conscious that in the aftermath of the major storm over 500,000 people remain without electricity.
"We're working around the clock across Government to try assist with this situation.
As Minister for Defence and Tánaiste, I'm very pleased to say the Defence Forces are now actively assisting through the provision of helicopters that area assisting the ESB in terms of restoration."
Stay safe out there!
