Chaotic scenes at Dublin airport which led to long queues were a 'blip' according to the DAA.
It's been confirmed that around 1,000 people missed their flights when passengers were stranded in lines outside and inside both terminal buildings.
Check in, bag drop and security were blamed for the delays with many people missing their flights.
Some passengers are report queues to get through the airport again this morning.
Junior Transport Minister Hildegarde Naughton is meeting the DAA Chief Executive this morning to discuss the crisis.
Seanad Leader Regina Doherty says the communication from the DAA has also been lacking;
"They're telling people to come early, then they're telling and blaming people for coming early for the lengthy queues that we see outside of the airport before they even get in to inside, they're telling people to contact the airlines directly themselves if they missed flights and then the latest thing yesterday evening was that they said they'd pay for the flights.
Nobody wants their flight reimbursed, they want their holidays."
