Ireland is set to enjoy a mini heatwave this week with temperatures set to reach 18 degrees in parts.
Dublin could see a high of 17 degrees today which will make it warmer than Spain and Portugal.
The best of the conditions will be away from the coast. Midlands and western counties will see the highest temperatures.
Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly says the good weather is expected to last into the weekend;
"However some of the weather models do show the end of the month and the start of April turning cooler and unsettled, so we might not want to be fooled into putting away the big jumpers and the coats just yet."
Met Éireann says a good deal of dry weather is also signalled for next Monday and Tuesday, however, temperatures will fall back to average. It says some rain is likely to return from around midweek onwards.
