A MetroLink station could be named after a famous Dublin pub that's due to make way for the line.
The owners of the Brian Boru made the suggestion at the oral hearing into the project.
The 200 year-old Brian Boru pub in Glasnevin is scheduled to be knocked to allow the MetroLink be built.
The Hedigan family, that has run the famous bar for the last 120 years, have asked for its history to be recorded properly according to the Irish Times.
The pub was referenced in Ulysses and is believed to have been built on the site where Brian Boru camped before the battle of Clontarf.
The family has suggested naming the Glasnevin metro station the Brian Boru station instead, or Prospect station after the road its located on.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland says its willing to consider the proposal.
