Met Eireann say yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far.
23.1 degrees was recorded at Newport Furnace in County Mayo, while the Phoenix Park in Dublin recorded top temperatures of 22.4 degrees.
The warm spell is set to continue this week, with temperatures expected to reach 18 degrees today.
Met Eireann says weather in Dublin today will be very mild and dry with long spells of sunshine.
