A highly suspect measles case is being investigated by health officials.
The Department of Public Health is advising anyone onboard a Dublin to Sligo rail service last week to remain vigilant.
In particular anyone who spent 15 minutes or more in Carriage D of the 5.05 pm service from Connolly to Sligo last Friday is being asked to monitor any symptoms for 21 days up to April 18th.
Signs to look out for include a rash, high temperature or sore red eyes.
Measles is a highly infectious disease that can cause serious complications, particularly in children under one year of age, pregnant women, and the immunosuppressed.
