The body of a man was discovered in the River Liffey today at around 8am.
The discovery was made on the west side of the East Link Bridge.
His body has since been transferred to the Dublin City Morgue.
A post-mortem will be carried out at a later date.
Gardaí say the results will determine the course of the investigation.
