A man in his 40s remains seriously ill in hospital, after being found lying on the ground in the north inner city yesterday afternoon.
The man was discovered with head injuries at Gloucester Place and is receiving treatment in Beaumont Hospital.
It's not clear if he'd been assaulted or injured himself in a fall.
The man has not been positively identified, but he's thought to be from Eastern Europe.
Gardai at Mountjoy are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with information, to contact them.
